Batavia Community Garden |
The NW corner of Main Street and Water Street will
soon have tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, basil, and
vegetables of all sorts. Batavia Enterprises is lending
their land. A growing number of volunteers are coming
together to till the earth, sow the seeds, tend the
plants and donate the food to the Batavia Food Pantry.
If you or your group would like to volunteer your time,

through the volunteer support of Batavia Mainstreet, The
City of Batavia, the Environmental Commission, Planting
Green Ideas, Batavians for Clean Energy and
Conservation. Community groups who have committed to
helping care for the garden include the Unitarian
Universalist Society of Geneva, the Batavia Woman’s Club
and Batavia Plain Dirt Gardeners. |
